(WOLLASTON TWP., ON)  - A wanted individual has been taken into custody in the Bancroft area.

On Friday, November 7, 2025, shortly after 11:00 am, members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad located the individual at a residence in Wollaston Township.

The individual was wanted for breaching the terms of a statutory release from a correctional facility.

A quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized during the arrest.

The 42-year-old male is in the custody of Bancroft OPP and being returned to the federal institution where he had been held prior to his temporary release.
