(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - On September 25, 2025, at approximately 5:41 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at Highway 21 and Concession 10 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

Police attended and discovered a single vehicle to be involved. The lone occupant was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. While officers were assessing the involved vehicle for damages, police observed a variety of weapons in plain view. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in locating several batons, brass knuckles, pepper spray, handcuffs, and ammunition.

Robert MCKAY, 56-years-old, resident of Huron-Kinloss, has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon, CC 91(2) - 7 counts
  • Failure to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
