YOUTH CHARGED FOLLOWING BREAK-AND-ENTER INVESTIGATION


(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - A youth is facing charges following a break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe.

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 6:48 pm, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break-and-enter in progress at a property on Pond Street in Simcoe.

The investigation determined that a group of at least three youths had forcibly entered a building and caused damage inside before fleeing the area on foot.

One of the suspects was located nearby on Victoria Street and taken into custody without incident. Efforts to identify the other individuals involved remain ongoing.

As a result, a 14-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, - Mischief over $5,000

The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
