During the early morning hours of February 7 th, 2020, a CDSA (Controlled drugs and Substances Act) Search Warrant was executed by members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police OCEB (Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau) at a residence on Elthelbert Street in Greater Sudbury. A quantity of hydromorphone tablets, Methamphetamines and Suboxone tablets worth a total value of $1,180 were seized in addition to $5,500 in Canadian currency.

As a result, a 36-year old woman has been charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Officers will be applying for a warrant for a 35-year old man in connection to the investigation. 

The woman’s name cannot be released as the information has not yet been sworn to through the Court process. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
