Drivers Charged for Impaired Related Incidents – January 2017
Driver: Olavi Alhonmaki (52-years of age)
Charges: Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs of Alcohol
Notes: Accused was involved in a collision in which his vehicle struck a guardrail. Paramedics and officers noted driver to have signs of alcohol consumption. The driver was brought to the hospital as he was conscious but unresponsive. A warrant to obtain and analyze his blood was granted and the subsequent report confirmed alcohol over the legal limit.
Driver: Catherine Haars (39-years of age)
Charges: Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs of Alcohol
Notes: Witnesses called police to report a vehicle in a ditch and a possible impaired driver at the wheel. Officers attended the scene and upon speaking to the driver, observed signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside test registered a fail and subsequent breath tests confirmed alcohol over the legal limit.
Driver: Jonathan Barrett (48-years of age)
Charges: Impaired Driving
Notes: Accused lost control of his motor vehicle and collided with a snow bank. Witnesses observed the driver to exhibit signs of alcohol consumption. The driver lost consciousness in his vehicle and was brought to the hospital. Due to the driver’s health condition he was unable to provide a breath sample.

Notes: Anonymous information was reported that a driver was operating her motor vehicle after consuming alcohol excessively during the day. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle in question and the driver did exhibit signs of alcohol consumption. Notes: Accused was found in the driver’s seat of his vehicle having driven it into a snow bank. Upon speaking to the officers, the driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside test registered a fail and subsequent breath tests confirmed alcohol over the legal limit.
Driver: James Larocque (37-years of age)
Charges: Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs of Alcohol
Notes: Driver was operating his motor vehicle in an erratic manner on a local highway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside test registered a fail and subsequent breath tests confirmed alcohol over the legal limit.

Notes: Driver lost control of his motor vehicle and struck a snow bank. Officers were dispatched and located the vehicle and driver at the scene. Upon speaking to the driver, he exhibited signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside test registered a fail and subsequent breath tests confirmed alcohol over the legal limit.
All drivers involved have had their drivers licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
