Officers investigating fatal collision on Lasalle Extension – Requesting Dash Camera Footage

UPDATE 2

The Integrated Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the fatal collision that occurred on June 17, 2025, on Lasalle Blvd. Officers are seeking to identify and speak with three individuals who may have information that could assist in the investigation.

Individual 1: The driver of a sedan or SUV travelling westbound on Lasalle Blvd, who pulled over between Frood Road and Elm Street for approximately two minutes following the collision, before continuing westbound.

Individual 2: The driver of a dark-coloured pickup truck also travelling westbound on Lasalle Blvd, who passed the pulled-over sedan/SUV and continued westbound.

Individual 3: The driver of a vehicle believed to be a white Ford Bronco or Jeep Wrangler, travelling eastbound on Lasalle Blvd prior to the collision.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) continues to seek witnesses to the fatal collision that occurred on the Lasalle Extension between Frood Road and Elm Street on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025.

ORIGINAL

Around 6:15 am this morning, June 17, 2025, officers were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision involving multiple vehicles.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that a Blue Dodge Caravan was travelling westbound on the Lasalle Extension when it collided with a Black Dodge Dart and a Grey Ford F-150, both travelling eastbound.

Unfortunately, a 44-year-old, man, the driver of the Dodge Dart was pronounced deceased on scene. A 43-year-old, man, the driver of the Dodge Caravan was transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the Ford F-150 was not injured.

Officers from our Integrated Traffic Safety Unit (Traffic Management Unit) remain on scene and are investigating the collision.
